Takeaways from the BIBA Conference

Aspen News

Mark Harris, Distribution and Development Manager, from our London office provided his insights from the recent BIBA Conference in Manchester:

A team of Property, Casualty, Property Investors and Construction underwriters and I recently travelled to Manchester for the annual BIBA conference, to meet with brokers and trading partners. An essential event for us to meet with regional market contacts and better understand how we can partner effectively.

The core takeaways from the few days spent talking to brokers and trading partners were:

  • Multi line offerings – there’s an increased appetite for multi-line offerings looking at tailored solutions across lines of business that suit individual customer’s needs.
  • Data and AI – there were a multitude of conversations surrounding the need for better customer data to ensure efficiencies and adequate risk profiling. Equally there was an air of caution around actioning AI into revamping processes within the sector.

As always, it was great to reconnect with brokers from across the U.K. and to understand how can provide better customer outcomes for the coming year. Aspen’s cross-class binders were well received, and we look forward to continuing conversations with existing and new trading partners.
