Sarah Stanford Wins Insurance Woman of the Year

We’re delighted to announce that Sarah Stanford, Aspen U.K. CEO, won Insurance Woman of the Year for Large Firms at the Women in Insurance Awards ceremony, which took place at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on Thursday, October 23.

This award is in recognition for how Sarah has helped to raise the profile of this sector as a career for women, and for her efforts in influencing, mentoring and supporting women in insurance.

On winning the award, Sarah said, “It was such an honor to accept this award in a room full of inspiring women and Aspen colleagues. After more than 25 years in the industry, I still feel passionate about helping more women discover just how rewarding a career in insurance can be.”

Jenny Kane, Aspen’s Group Chief Risk Officer, was also shortlisted in the Risk Professional of the Year category, which celebrates women within the sector who work within in a risk management, risk assessment or risk mitigation role.

In its seventh year, the Women in Insurance Awards showcases achievements of women across all levels and disciplines of the general insurance market, while helping to raise the industry’s profile as an exciting and inclusive career path.
