Aspen and business partner Genpact got together to support local charities in India. One of the charities, Udayan Care, focuses on supporting young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds get access to education and personal development training that would normally not be open to them, ultimately broadening their career options.
Collectively, colleagues from Aspen and Genpact visited students supported by the Udayan Shalini Fellowship program to distribute donated laptops and to hear stories about how the program has positively impacted their studies.
Alongside this, the Aspen and Genpact team also visited the Caddies Welfare Trust to donate several laptops to the caddies’ children at the Delhi Golf Club. The contribution is helping to bridge the digital divide and provides students with access to valuable learning via volunteers who deliver tech skills workshops on the weekends.
Claire Bull, Head of BPO Commercial Services at Aspen, attended the event and commented “It was incredibly rewarding and humbling to see the impact that these programs have on young people’s education and ultimately their future. To be able to come together with our business partners and create a positive contribution to the societies in which they operate is at the heart of Aspen’s values and is a nod to the way in which we operate. We are looking at building out an ongoing commitment to local charities through mentoring schemes, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Aspen and Genpact can continue to make a difference together.”
